• Epistemology: An examination of the nature, scope, and limits of human
knowledge, scrutinizing the formal methods used to justify claims of truth.
• ‘Philosophy as an Activity’ (Paper 3): An exploration of the methodology,
function, and meaning of philosophy itself, including applied questions
regarding the environment and technology.
Previous coursework titles have included:
• Should I value art for its formal qualities or the emotions it evokes?
• What should our attitude be towards the natural world?
• Is the 昀椀lm Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind justi昀椀ed in assuming the
mind is the brain?
• Do humans possess genuine Free Will?

conclusion instead of accepting a predetermined
